Crystina Tierney has always wanted to take gymnastics but wasn’t sure if her dad could afford the lessons. Tierney, a 15 year old Levittown resident has been attending the Joel Baba’s School of Gymnastics on a PAS scholarship for the past two years and says “it honestly keeps me healthy mentally and physically”. Both her dad and her instructors have even noticed changes in Crystina. “I see a greater sense of self-esteem and independence in her” says her father William Tierney. Crystina takes lesson with Stephanie Daveggia and Ed Gardner of Joel Baba’s School of Gymnastics and “is loving every minute of it!” PAS partnered with JBSG because of their dedication and commitment to helping young people develop their skills and their desire to give back to the community.
